Sashimi with Norwegian Salmon
Sashimi can be served as a starter, main course or as a part of a sushi menu.
Experience this recipe, where soy sauce, lemon, and coriander bestow upon salmon a touch worthy of Valhalla itself.
Ingredients (4 serves)
- 300g Norwegian salmon fillet, skinned and deboned
- 2pcs Radishes, red
- 10cm Rettich, White radish, Japanese radish, Mooli
- 2tbsp Salmon roe
- 0.5 Tsp Wasabi
- 3tbs Soy sauce
- Coriander leaves, fresh
- 0.5pcs Lime
- Black sesame seeds
Steps
- Cut a regular piece of the salmon fillet and cut into 3 mm thin slices. Diagonally cut the fillet, always against the marbling in the fish.
- Thinly slice the red radish and cut the white radish into thin strips.
- Mix the salmon roe with wasabi.
- Juice the lime and mix with soy sauce.
Tip: Serve the sashimi with radish, salmon roe, sesame seeds and coriander on top, and drizzle the soy sauce around.
